Independence Day - 2022


The flying colours of freedom and joy hoisted very high at Wendy High School on August 15, 2022, celebrating the ‘75th Independence Day’. The day highlighted ~ the never to be forgotten, the glory and sacrifices made by the great martyrs, the warriors of India. On this auspicious day , the students participated in various activities including poster making, non-fire cooking and preparing tricolour food. The day witnessed teachers and students singing our National Anthem with pride and harmony.

Investiture Ceremony


Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality.

The Investiture Ceremony was held in the school premises wherein the newly elected members of the Student Council took the pledge to uphold the school motto and pride in high regard and esteem.

Student councils are a great way for students to take on leadership roles, promote the voice of the student body, solve problems and impact his or her community.. A council serves as the voice for an entire student body and actively works with teachers and advisors to promote a better learning environment.

By keeping this in mind Students and teachers at Wendy High School vote for upcoming Leaders(House Vice Captain, House Prefects) of Student Council.

International Kids Film Festival (IKFF)


International Kids Film Festival an LXL Ideas initiative; is a unique film festival hosted by N.L.K. Group of Schools for providing an opportunity for students to WATCH the best of international children’s films, LEARN from film-making master classes & MAKE films to participate in the World’s Largest film-making competition. This way the school offered a global platform and exposure to the world to all the students. This created a window where the students witnessed and observed the culture, language and geographical facts of other countries. The film festival was inaugurated by Cabinet Minister, Satyadev Pachauri. It was 3 days festival with loads of fun, togetherness, gathering, décor, food and finally loads of memories. The final day of IKFF was extensively fabulous as to add beauty to the event there was stupendously prominent personality Mr. Inderpal Singh, a famous actor who had played roles in movies Vicky Donor, Besharam and numerous Advertisements. There were other eminent personalities who added grace to the event: Ms. Pramila Pandey, Mayor of Kanpur, Dr Meeta Jamal, Ex Principal D G College, Ms. Sneha Shah Gupta, Educator and Founder of Lots Of Learning, Mrs. Vina Sabharwal, Secretary of NLK Group of School and Mrs. Ruma Chaturvedi, Director Pushpa Khanna Memorial Centre.

Kanpur Hoga Clean


Kanpur Hoga Clean was an event organized by N.L.K. Group School, at Atal ghat to promote emerging ideas centred around resolving environmental issues as well as raising awareness of the biggest ecological issues, to better understand the evolving world. The event was conscious about advancing the idea of protecting the planet with the support of children who took part in different related competitions. This event was conducted for also providing a common platform for young talent to network, share ideas and pick up some lessons and channel their energy into productive uses for the Environment. Students from different schools participated in various competitions like Recitation Competition, Story-Telling Competition and Art Competition. The winners were awarded with Trophies, Cash Prizes and Certificates.

Disha Literature Festival


Oh!! What a hub-bub there was but this brought a lifetime learning experience for us. Yes, we are talking about the biggest fest of our school that is the Disha Literature Fest, where all the students put their heart out to bring the best and learn the best from this fest. Every year our school organizes DLF which is a showcase of wonderful writers and illustrators. The festival provides quality literature in reading, writing, illustrating and engaging with the wonderful world of words. Nurturing literacy and reading are at the heart of the fest. The students start preparing for the fest, a month age so that they are all ready to invite and learn from the wonderful authors and humble people. From preparing beautiful charts to sketches of the authors to writing poems for them, all looks like a beautiful part of our schooling, which not only make us learn new things in life but also let us enjoy this festival. People also witnessed the panel discussions on different literary topics that came alive in front of the audience. With a diversity of languages and multiplicity of mediums, #dishaliteraturefestival was a walk through the hardbound and virtual world of literary creativity.The school had the privilege to invite Dr. Kumar Vishwas, Mr. Akshay Gandhi, Soumya Rajendra, Tanushree Singh, Usha Pandit, Rohini Vij, Sandhya Rao, Deepa Agarwal, Nandini Nair, Prabha Ram and the list goes on.

Jugaad : Reinventing Junk


In today’s world recycling has a very important place. Hence utilizing the best from unwanted things has become a generic necessity of every human’s life. The competition aims to make the students understand the importance of preserving the environment and moreover learn more about sustainability.

Little hands and imagination minds came together in a creative burst of “Jugaad: Reinventing Junk” . Students prepared very creative and innovative models and art items from different waste materials, They used reusable and recyclable materials like newspapers, shoe boxes, bangles, ice cream stick’s and much more. From these items, they created an amazing array of display items and useful everyday objects leaving everyone totally impressed. The event was conducted at Atal Ghat, Kanpur.

The activity helped students understand the value of the need to reduce, reuse and recycle.

Umang


UMANG is the first ever interschool level sports fest organized by the Wendy High School with an aim to boost the enthusiasm among the students and provide them with an opportunity to showcase their talent in the field of sports at a bigger platform.To build a sense of sportsmanship among the players within the tri-city area and unleash their potential, manifest their endurance, teamwork and skills together as one.
